Whether you’re on a construction site or at home remember before you put a shovel in the ground get Miss Utility to mark the area.   Many construction people don’t think about underground utilities when they’re at home, but underground utilities at home are just as dangerous as at work. 
Call Miss Utility and make sure you observe the regulation:
Don’t dig unless the area is marked

• Dig with care.
• Hand dig within 18 inches of all markings.
• Make sure you maintain the marks while you work
• Make sure you observe all of the marks.
